Scanning artwork which is deeper than the scanner bed

Sometimes, you'll be scanning in artwork that is deeper than the scanner bed. You'll need to attach pegstrips to the top and bottom of the artwork. These must be aligned exactly. The pegbar you use should be fitted to the edge of the scanner bed next to the lid, so the artwork can hang off the edge of the scanner.

To scan the artwork:

  1. First do the scans for the top edge (X), as described above in Scanning artwork which is longer than the scanner bed.
  1. Next, turn the artwork through 180× and do the scans for the bottom edge (Y).
